7 Things to Calibrate Your Energy for Wealth in the New Year

Increasing the odds of success

You don't work hard to make money. Your wealth is not at all correlated to the work you do. The highest-paid people are not paid highly because of what they know. They are paid for who they are.

Who you are goes a long way to determine your wealth status. And who you are is not about who you think you are. Instead, it is about who other people think you are.

You can think very highly of yourself and that won't change your income. But the moment other people start to think very highly of you, that's when your income changes.

There are a lot of fights and contentions in the world about pay gaps and income inequalities. Many people complain about not being paid their worth. But in the real sense of it, people get paid their worth. It is mostly not what they think it is, but it is the worth the world around them perceives.

The main problem is that most people think they have to increase their skills to increase their worth. Now, that can be useful initially. But your skills can only take you so far. Skills can take you to $250k per year. But beyond that, it is no longer about skills. You start getting paid for who you are.

And this spreads to business and investing too. Your returns and profits become less about what you do and more about who you are. And who you are is determined by where you are. Where you are is all about how you position yourself. And if you don't calibrate your energy, you won't reposition yourself. That means you keep getting the same results again and again.

This is the reason for the 7 things to calibrate your energy for wealth and success this new year:

1. Upgrade Your Environment

Sometimes, you need to move. That means relocating. Other times, it means you need to declutter and rearrange your living space.

Your environment affects your energy like nothing else. You will not be able to rise above the level of your environment. Your frequency and vibration are connected to your environment.

Changing your environment is the easiest way to calibrate your energy for success. And don't merely change it, you have to upgrade it.

Raise it to the level of success that you want.

2. Make New Friends

In my Don't Work for Money book, I explained a scenario of a young person trying to get a job. Instead of making the decision based on the pay, the decision should be made based on what is the shortest path to long-term success. And that is the quality of people because they will position you.

Get yourself into situations where you make friends with people who are where you want to be. Many people find it hard to make new friends after age 40.

The secret is to get yourself into groups, masterminds, etc., where you can meet new people who are at least as ambitious as you.

3. Make Plans to Travel

Make plans to visit somewhere in the world you have never been before with exciting people. Why? This is a recipé for spotting unique business opportunities.

Your best business opportunity of the year will probably come from some knowledge based on an experience you had. Maybe you travel to South Korea and find something that isn't available in the United States. And you know that thing will be in high demand.

4. Meditation

By this, I mean, quieting your mind. Sitting in solitude and quieting your mind. Learn to do that every day. Some like to lie down while they do it. Some like to sit. Whichever you prefer, just make sure you train yourself to do this.

And this is going to be harder than you think if you have never done this before. Your mind is going to wander about. You'll feel like doing something or watching something or reading something.

But if you follow through, you will get transformative ideas from this exercise. Initially, it can just be for a few minutes. But as you get used to it, you can go for longer periods.

5. A Healthy Routine

Don't wait for your body to break down. Don't let the doctors sentence you to a lifestyle you will hate. Create everyday routines to stay in shape and healthy. Wealth makes no sense without good health to enjoy it.

If you are over the age of 40, don't let sickness happen to you. Get ahead of it. Do what you have to do to avoid all that. Eat well, eat good, exercise, and don't let people trip you into unhealthy things.

6. Stay in the Know

You have this newsletter. You should also have several other ways that you stay in the know about investing, finance, the economy, and the world.

The world is full of lies. Mainstream media only reports what fits into their narrative. You need a broad perspective, looking at every situation from smart angles.

Twitter, now X, is a good place to get varying perspectives. Not all are true and there are sometimes hasty judgments. But it is better to be in the know than to stay oblivious.

I will be active on X in 2024. Be sure to follow me there.

7. Make Allowances for Mistakes

You will make mistakes in 2024. You will make big mistakes and small mistakes. The worst thing that can happen to you in this context is crying ver spilt milk. In other words, you spend time lamenting and agonizing over the mistake you made, instead of moving forward.

When you realize you made a mistake, ask yourself, "What is the way forward?"

The speed at which you move on is directly connected to how successful you will be. The less time you spend in mourn and regret, the more successful you will be.

You will make mistakes. Plan to not spend any time mourning those mistakes. Prepare yourself now to move on fast after any mistake you make.
